Things to remember:
- Please bring your book summaries on the first day of school
- Don’t wait until the last minute to start reading. Rushed work is never excellent! It also takes the joy out of reading.
- Make sure you use neat handwriting or type it.
- Be prepared to share what you have written with the class.
- Visit the library often!

For each of the three books that you read this summer, please include the following
information:
- Title of Book / Author of Book
- Number of Pages
- Setting-When and where the book takes place?
- What was your favorite part of the story? (2 sentences)
- Give the name of the main character and tell something about that person.
- Did you like the book? Why or Why not? ( 2sentences)
- Summaries should be no more than half a page long. But include the beginning, middle, and end of the story.
